First Bath

Joseph has a habit of peeing on himself and whoever else happens to be in the line of fire during a diaper change. We are working on a solution to this that is better than wasting the diaper you are putting on him by quickly blocking the pee with the new diaper as he starts to fire.

I've never tried the "pee pee tee pee" but I've heard they work!

So this morning Joey decided to do the normal thing when he feels the cold air and pee...I caught most of it but then it ended up running down his legs anyway...so I decided to go ahead and give him a bath. I've been wanting to ever since his unbilical chord fell off but haven't had the chance so I figured it was time...

He LOVES warm water...when we gave him sponge baths he loved getting his hair washed! He wasn't a fan of us rubbing him down little by little because it made him cold (hence the baths on our balcony). When I put him in the tub he was crying and as soon as he heard the water and I started sprinkling it on him he calmed down. If he could smile I think he would have :) He kept scrunching down in the little bath tub and looked pretty uncomfortable but he didn't complain!

When I took him out he was a little upset but I figured he was just in love with bathtime! Not ten seconds after I wrapped his cute little towel on him he farted. If you've been around Joey you know a fart is accompanied by poop 99% of the time...I was hoping maye this one would fall into that 1% where it's just gas an nothing else. Boy was I wrong...

At this point he was pretty upset. I would have been too I suppose if I had just been clean and then done that all over myself. and my towel. and the bath mat that I was laying on because the towel is thin enough for the poop to seep through.

Honestly, it was hilarious. I was pretty glad he did it then and not when I was taking him out or getting his diaper on. The damage was at least confined to two washable items.
