I officially taught my last day at Pershing last Friday. I cried the night before and started crying as soon as I got to school. Once the day started it was great though! The kids did a warm-up that revealed the baby's name and then we did probability of rolling certain numbers with 2 dice...hence, the cake walk! It was so entertaining to watch the kids slow down near the 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and then power walk around the other "less probable" numbers!
Jacob wrote "Happy Last Day" on the board and then every kid wanted to write their own sweet note/ goodbye.
Walking around waiting for the music to stop!
Watching the dice to see who won!
I have always dreamed of staying home with my baby and as the time is rapidly getting closer I am amazed at how wonderful it is all working out. I couldn't have timed it better- God really does know best! Right now Jacob is in the middle of his 2 week break before he starts his FOURTH (and final) year of dental school. We are enjoying spending time together and getting our apartment ready for Joseph. Our crib came today and Jacob put it together right away. It's a mini crib and fits perfectly in our closet.
We also set up a nice little changing table on top of the dresser...it's so surreal and yet so exciting because it's getting so close! I am 2 cm dilated and 80% effaced but really don't feel like he's coming just yet.
