Grey & Coral Tricycle Diaper Cake!

Thanks to this awesome tutorial I was able to make the cutest little tricycle diaper cake ever!! I love how the gray & coral colors turned out!

I only used 18 diapers in each wheel instead of 20 so that the large rubber bands I used would wrap around twice. I also didn't have time to find the perfect receiving blankets so I just used a 1.75 yards by 44 inches piece of fabric and rolled it, securing with 4 safety pins throughout. If I did it again I think I would cut it in half and follow her instructions with the yarn through the front tire...

Joey was SUCH a big help holding the fabric still while I rolled.

He was convinced that puppy should get a ride!  I also left off the bib 1) because I didn't find one that I loved and 2) because I didn't want to hide that pretty front tire. The grey chevron really makes the coral pop and kind of looks like tires!

The socks cover up the raw edges of the fabric really well and the bow is covering the rubber band holding the handle bars together.  If I was a better sewer I totally would have made the fabric into some cute blanket but I don't have the ability to surge edges with my machine so that didn't happen. Maybe next time ;)

Joey can't wait to give the cake to Aunt Ashleigh! However, he is a little concerned about it getting ruined. He almost cried when I told him I was taking it to her shower... Because he didn't want it getting wet. 😂

Here it is, DRY, at the shower :)
