Two and a Half

Happy Half Birthday (November 22nd), Joey! We celebrated by making Rice Krispie treats (which Joey did not like) and going to Chickfila for dinner where Joey showed Daddy his climbing skills in the play place. With so many November birthdays in our extended families Joey has learned that birthdays come and "go bye bye". He is convinced that he "lost his birthday" and tells me that "it's not at home". I know he'll be very excited this year when his birthday rolls around! Right now he is very excited about Jesus' birthday and did a great job helping me decorate the tree. Can you tell all of the ornaments are hung along the bottom branches??

Joey is pretty excited about little baby sister coming in April. I know he has no idea what that means... but he is so sweet to want to hear the baby's heartbeat at the doctor's office, kiss my belly, and sing to baby sister. He told me that when she cries he is going to make her laugh. As much as I can't wait to meet our little baby girl I am so enjoying this time with Joey!

Joey is very busy (and pretty independent) during the day and he plays with lots of different toys but probably plays with puzzles the most. He can do most of his puzzles by himself but almost always wants me to do the last piece. He still needs help with his floor puzzles but he's getting pretty good at them!

Speaking of toys Joey is getting a train set for Christmas. He managed to find it in the garage where I hid it and ever since has been asking to play with the train set... when I tell him that he doesn't have a train set he very seriously explains "yes I do mommy, in the garage!" I guess it won't be a "surprise" when he opens it but hopefully it'll be just as fun to play with :)
